How Ice Dippers collects donations for the Kältehilfe
Why we collect donations for homelessness support in Berlin and where the cash from our dips ends up.
Why we do it
Choosing the cold on a Saturday morning is a privilege, because the people sleeping outside in the same city have no such choice. That is why Ice Dippers collects donations for the Berliner Kältehilfe, the network of organisations such as the Stadtmission and GEBEWO that helps homeless people through the winter in Berlin. Any cash given at our dips is collected over the season and passed on in full to the Kältehilfe once the season is over. Ice Dippers itself cannot issue donation receipts, so if you would like one, the best way is to donate directly to the Kältehilfe.
