Official Berlin bathing waters (LAGeSo)

The Berlin health authority (LAGeSo) lists 39 official bathing sites, which are the places where swimming is explicitly allowed by law. They are summer bathing sites and have nothing to do with organised ice bathing in winter.

Many of the 39 sites are summer Strandbäder with opening hours and lifeguards, where you usually pay to get in, and in winter they may be closed or frozen over with nobody looking after them. Our meeting points at Plötzensee and Schlachtensee and in Stralau are on or close to this official map. For current water quality warnings, the LAGeSo list is the best place to check.
